Gen Strike, (a stylisation and abbreviation of The Almighty General Strike) is a rock and roll Influenced punk band hailing from Columbus. Ohio. Founded by J. Chaos (Julian Johnston) in early 1998, the band started with simple punk songs but over the years incorporated a more rock and roll sound blended with their pranksterism and unique comedy stylings. Though they were merely teenagers when they recorded their first album, they have went on to record seven albums, play hundreds of shows, and find themselves appearing in fanzines, magazines, and even national television.
